Boreal Alpine Boots in CLIMB.

I used to say that one of the many things I liked about Boreal range of boots was that it didnīt change because of fashion or trends. They had some great designs and they stuck with them. That is still absolutely true, but now in addition to their long establish favourites such as the technical, insulated Super Latok or the Pamir (both of which incidentally are made in both menīs and womenīs versions and the latter with two sole options)
or the more general alpine boot the Asan, (a personal favourite Light boot for many years) they have a new range of cutting edge modern alpine boots. The Kangri (menīs in pale green, womnenīs in lilac) as in insolated tehcnical boot that offers a lighter alternative to the Super latok.

The Kangri combines the best of new hi tech and traditional materials using thick 2,8mm leather, carbon glass and Lorica artificial leather for support a dry liner and Thinsulate for insulation. They are very supportive because of this and the fact. that are quite high up the ankle/leg but they are still quite a bit lighter than the Super Latoks 2140 grams down to 1800 grams pairo f size 9. Amazing.

The Nelion Range on the other hand is a much traditional leather boot with a big rubber rand. They are still crampon compatible but for use in less cold and technical climbing. They weight 1780 grams a pair for size 7. Definitely worth checking out .

Borealīs Rock shoes are so famous and popular Iīm always surprised that they donīt see more of their alpine boots about Scotland or on British feet in the Alps. If you spot any, the could be my feet in them. Iīm a fan!

And, in case you are wondering, you can still get the good old Super Latok and Asans as well!!
Kangri 1800 grams
